"I was given this book as a present and I normally read non fiction but the depth of research which has gone into this novel intrigued me. I thought the plot development was excellent and the ending was a surprise. Can’t wait for a sequel."

"I purchased your book just over a week ago and last night I finished it.

I have to say that this is one of the most absorbing books that I have read for a very long time.

The plot is brilliant and the ending then makes you want another book.

I read many books (and yours is my sixth book this year) and the way you laid out the plot, the depth you gave each character, and the way each chapter was written makes this book easy to read and engaging.

Congratulations and Well done, I cannot wait for the sequel

"One of the quickest novels I've read in a long time. Not for its length, (this is a 'normal' sized book), but because I just kept picking it up. The short chapters made it easy to grab at any spare moment without the fear of having to put it down mid-scene.
With plenty of detail from the start the pace builds until it reaches a cinematic climax. The action of the finale is more like watching a movie than reading a book because the imagery is so vivid and the pace of the storyline is so rapid.
Anyone who has read reviews before reading Narcissus will be on the lookout for plot twists with every turn of the page, but forewarned or not, the journey through this story contains plenty of surprises and heart-racing shocks.
A thoroughy enjoyable read and I look forward to the next book.

"The genre of this book is my usual go to and I was not disappointed. The author has really thought about his use of words and descriptive text and as the story/plot develops you certainly get more invested in the main characters, and I’m already looking forward to reading more Tate Randell novels. My favourite bit is that it’s really cleverly written and keeps you guessing right through. So if you like a book makes you think about what you’re reading and a clever/intriguing plot then there’s a high chance you’ll enjoy this."

"This book is a very well written and thoroughly researched.
Not only do you get a gripping story line with plenty of twists over 2 timelines but you also get an education in art and history along the way.
The characters are very well thought out and the plot lines have been meticulously thought out to produce an excellent read - tbh the story should be made into either a film or mini series.
On top of this the author has provided some interactive QR codes allowing you to learn more about the locations or history along the way.
All in all a great read which towards the end I couldn't put down - just waiting for the second in the series to be dropped ( there are 3 in total I believe ).

"Updating my review as I’ve now finished reading Narcissus. I loved the build up of pace in the second half of the story as the individual threads laid out in the first half all come together to provide an explosive and unexpected ending. Excellent page turner.

I’m half way through Narcissus now, and I’m gripped. The story is quite original and the author keeps the flow going nicely across parallel threads. The main characters are believable and their interactions keep you entertained as the story unfolds. I have learnt something new about art, crime and pathology and am enjoying the pace and details.

"New author with a different way of writing, thoroughly enjoyed discovering ways of the art world, who knew so much goes on and the ways people will go to purchase art! Or not. Real page turner did not guess who the villain/ victim was as in all of the intrigue and look forward to reading and discovering more about Tate Randall in the next book."

"Such a great find! An interesting and clever story that had me hooked. This book is a unique and tells the story of contemporary international art theft, London investigation while weaving in the narrative behind the painting and painter. I finished the book and then started it again right away to figure out where the clues were that I had missed. Can't wait for the next one."

"I nearly did not read this book as I am not usually interested in the arts. But I love crime and murder mystery books so I thought I would give it a go. I was gripped from the first page. What a fantastic storyline that had twists and turns all the way. I also loved learning about paintings and painters. There are internet links throughout the book that you can follow to find out more about the subject on those particular pages. What a great idea. So, don’t pass this book by, buy it, read it and enjoy one of the best thrillers available today. G N Sweetland, when is the next one!"

"This was a book that once I started to read it I didn’t want to put it down.
It got me hooked right from reading the first two chapters.
I would definitely recommend it to anyone who likes a book that’s fast paced with a really good plot and leaves you wanting more when you have read the last chapter.
One of the best books I have read in a very long time.
